5-Time World Champion allegedly responsible for blocking LA Knight’s push; Details on backstage dislike revealed

LA Knight’s push saw another setback at Money in the Bank when the fan favorite failed to win third year in a row.

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently appeared on WrestleBinge, where he made a bold claim: Triple H allegedly isn’t a fan of LA Knight. While the exact reason remains unclear, Knight’s inconsistent push in WWE has become increasingly noticeable.

According to Russo, his insights came directly from reliable industry insiders. Speaking to Chris Featherstone during their discussion, he revealed:

“Chris, I was told — not by an outsider — that Triple H does not like LA Knight. And you’re seeing that, bro. LA Knight goes so far, then they pull him back. It keeps happening.”

Russo went on to describe this pattern as part of an internal power struggle, calling it “competition between the boys.” In his view, LA Knight’s momentum repeatedly stalls due to backstage politics, despite his popularity with fans.

He also drew comparisons between the current WWE leadership under 5-time World Champion Triple H and the previous regime led by Vince McMahon. Russo criticized how the focus now seems to have shifted toward spotlighting management, especially Triple H himself, rather than elevating talent.

“In Vince’s era,” Russo explained, “the talent came first. Vince never put himself on the cover; it was always about the superstars.” He argued that this change in philosophy could ultimately hurt both the company and rising stars like LA Knight, who often seem stuck in a cycle of brief pushes followed by setbacks.

LA Knight's push

If Russo’s claims hold water, it could explain why Knight’s rise continues to hit unexpected roadblocks.

Fans upset after LA Knight’s push stalled yet again at Money in the Bank

Seth Rollins was the obvious choice to win the men’s MITB match this Saturday. However, fans believed that this was finally the year of the Megastar. The ‘Yeah’ Movement has been going on for two years as fans want Knight to get a spot in the main event scene, finally.

However, despite saying ”good things come to people who wait” Triple H seems in no rush to push the former United States Champion. Despite constantly delivering in the ring as well as on the mic, Knight finds himself trapped in the mid-card. Many fans on X even believe that Triple H keeps putting Knight in MITB matches just to humiliate him, as this was the third straight year he failed to win the coveted ladder match.
