Aleister Black Retirement Update

After a stint in AEW, Aleister Black finally made his return to WWE. However, fans have been unhappy with his booking since coming back, as there is a lack of any major programs or feuds for him, and now, he has given another disappointing update.

His return was something special. Almost ‘cinema.’

The smoke returned. So did the shadows. And when SmackDown lit up Fort Worth, the flames welcomed back a man forged in darkness—Aleister Black, risen once more from the abyss.

It all started in Barcelona. Just fifteen seconds. A cryptic vignette in a pitch-black room. Candles flickered. Smoke crawled across the screen. No words. No face. Just the number 4. Ominous. Prophetic. A warning shot that the devil was on his way back home.

Fast forward to Texas—The Miz stood in the ring, ranting, demanding respect. But what followed was silence. Then, darkness. A haunting close-up of burning candles. And then… he rose. Slowly. Precisely. From beneath the floor like a phantom summoned from purgatory. Aleister Black was back in WWE.

But this return isn’t just a comeback. It’s a race against time.

Aleister Black to retire soon?

Speaking to LeSport10, the brooding striker revealed that while the WWE universe celebrates his resurrection, he’s already staring down the final act of his career.

>“WWE is more popular than it’s ever been. I’m grateful—grateful that I get to do this again. Most don’t. But I know my clock is ticking. I want to say yes to everything before it’s too late.”

There’s urgency behind every strike. The purpose behind every entrance. This isn’t a man wrestling for paychecks. He’s hunting legacy.

What is his mission before hanging up his boots?

>“Headline WrestleMania. Win a title. That’s the goal. Not the which—not the opponent, not the belt, not even the story. The moment itself is what I’m chasing. That one crowning moment before my time runs out.”

He estimates he’s got 5 to 8 years left in the tank. Physically, he says he feels stronger than ever. Mentally? Sharper. Focused. Obsessed.

But the road ahead won’t be easy. The former NXT Champion recently fell short in a King of the Ring qualifier, a fatal four-way loss to Randy Orton, Carmelo Hayes, and LA Knight. A setback, sure—but not the end.

Because with every loss, the fire grows. The man once banished to the shadows is now staring straight at the main event lights.

Aleister Black might be gearing up to retire, but before he does, the master of the dark arts will try to fulfil everything on his WWE bucket list.
